September 2025 Tryout Information
ALL TORONTO WEST TRYOUTS ARE HELD AT THE Tibetan Cultural Centre
40 Titan Road, Etobicoke
All EARLY SIGNED BACK and OPEN COMMITTED athletes must attend all of their team’s tryout sessions
All athletes trying out MUST:
1. REGISTER WITH TORONTO WEST trying out for the team of your choice through Torontowest.powerupsports.com as either a RETURNING PLAYER or NEW PLAYER
Start with the REGISTER button on the torontowestvolleyball.ca website which will take you to the MEMBERS ZONE
Tryout Fee: - One time $30 payable through the PowerUp System.
- The parent, NOT the player, must register and pay.
Notes: - Toronto West only wants players to try out who seriously
want to join our club. As a result, players who are made an offer MUST ACCEPT ON THE SPOT.
Athletes and Parents are encouraged to ask as many questions as they wish in advance with regards
to the team and the program. Attendance at Summer Training and Training Camp (Aug 25-28 at the TCC) will help in this regard.
- A guardian / parent must be present at the end of the tryout so they can sign the accepted Offer Form.
- Players who make the team are refunded the Tryout Fee
2. REGISTER WITH THE OVA as a TRYOUT MEMBER after August 31/2025
- This registration can be done through Ontario MRS at ontariovolleyball.org
- Make sure that the OVA registration is in the PLAYER’S name - The OVA Tryout Player membership registration is FREE.
3. AS OF JULY 1 ON THE OVA WEBSITE: Check the team of your choice for a list of players already signed back early
AS OF SEPTEMBER 1 ON THE OVA WEBSITE: Check for a list of still open roster spots on the team that you want to try out for.
4. FIRST TRYOUTS: Friday, September 5, 2025
At the Tibetan Cultural Centre, 40 Titan Rd. East side
6:00 – 7:00 PM - 6v6G 13U FALCONS & TLSG 14U HAWKS
7:00 – 8:00 PM - 15UG SPARROWS & 15UG CARDINALS
8:00 - 9:00 PM - 16UG CONDORS & 17UG RAPTORS
9:00 – 10:00 PM – 15UB HARRIERS & 16UB DRAGONS
&10:00 – 11:00 PM – 18UG IMPERIALS & 18UB GOLDEN EAGLES
5. FOLLOW-UP TRYOUTS (if necessary)
Note:
- TDSB & TCDSB gyms are not available until Monday, September 15
- All athletes who have already made the team are expected to participate as reference players in the follow-up Tryouts
- Monday, September 8, 2025, 5:00 – 6:00 PM at the TCC for 15UG SPARROWS & 15UG CARDINALS
- Friday, September 12, 2025, 8:00 – 9:00 PM at the TCC for 6v6G FALCONS, TLSG HAWKS & 15UB HARRIERS
- Friday, September 12, 2025, 9:00 – 10:00 PM at the TCC for 16UB DRAGONS & 18UB GOLDEN EAGLES
- Friday, September 12, 2025, 10:00 – 11:00 PM at the TCC for 16UG CONDORS, 17UG RAPTORS & 18UG IMPERIALS
Regular team practices start on Monday, September 15
